Water outrage…

Recently, whilst attending the Australian Open, my friends and I were puzzled and shocked when we saw the bottled water we received on entry (and which was being sold) came from China, one of the most polluted countries in the world. Australians want to drink Australian water and Chinese visitors don’t come to Australia to drink Chinese water; Chinese people in China generally don’t trust their own food and drink. Have the organisers never heard of Mount Franklin water? It makes sense to buy electronics from China because they excel at making them, but we have the cleanest water in the world so should be providing it to Australians and overseas. We weren’t alone in our sentiments, there was a wave of outrage on social media, people labelling the decision to sell Chinese water as disgusting and unpatriotic…
