Legend says when you can’t sleep at night, it’s because you’re awake in someone else’s dream. If that is true can everyone please STOP dreaming about me and let me get some damn sleep!
Personally I think it’s more likely that I can’t get comfortable on my back, a necessity given I wear my locked knee brace to bed. I lie there and fantasise about sleeping on my side, a distant memory. Being inactive and couch bound all day does nothing to tire me out either; I’m generally bored and tired from no sleep the previous night so I snooze on the couch, meaning a repeat cycle when I go to bed. Oh well, I’m nearly at 2 weeks, only 4 more to go! It’s almost like revisiting early motherhood and nightly feeds, I just don’t have to get up or listen to a crying baby…
Friend: “Are you getting enough sleep?”
Me: “Sometimes when I sneeze, my eyes close. “
“Dear 3am, we have to stop meeting this way. I’d much rather sleep with you.”
