In today’s modern high tech age, black and white television and movies are a thing of the past and yet black and white photography is still widely used. Not every shot will work in B&W, but it gives certain photographs a striking, timeless quality. It can be atmospheric and evocative and the stripping of colour can add clarity and depth to the chosen subject. It would be rare to look at wedding albums today without seeing some, if not all, black and white raw and emotional images.
