People always have their go to “comfort” in troubled times. From early childhood years, when upset, many of us seek solace from a familiar object; a teddy bear, stuffed animal, doll or perhaps a blanket. In our house “Blanky” and “Woofy”, were our saviours when my little boys were sick or upset. I still have those very much loved, treasured items; it would be impossible for me to throw them away, we’ve been through too much together! Similarly, many British believe a cup of tea to be the panacea for all ills. Any sign of trouble, and on goes the kettle; “lets have a lovely cuppa, and work things out.”
Lucky for me I’m an Australian, because I hate tea!
“There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be much diminished by a nice cup of tea.”
