Life is like a carousel, full of ups and downs, but it is a ride that you don’t ever want to get off. Sometimes it delivers magical moments which you try endlessly to recreate. My most intense memory of such a moment is from a trip to Disneyland, in Paris, many years ago. We had a fantastic day with our boys, but there was one very particular time that will remain in my memory forever. The first time we went on the Peter Pan ride was unforgettable. The moment the doors flew open and the small cart we were in was suspended high in the inky blackness, looking down at the twinkling scene below, gave me such a magical, euphoric feeling; it was as if we were actually flying. Although we went on that ride, and countless others, many more times, it never took my breath away in quite the same way. I often wonder if I went back now I could recapture that feeling or whether it is lost forever, a once in a lifetime moment.
“Unbelievable sights, indescribable feelings, soaring, tumbling, free-wheeling through an endless diamond sky.”
