Savor the little moments, for these moments are our lives. Perhaps it is the quiet time spent reading, when you can escape reality to vicariously live the lives of others. Maybe it is the precious time spent snuggling in bed with your kids; those treasured moments before you have to get up and face the real world. I miss that immensely but equally love time spent with my now adult sons. Could it be a walk with your four legged fur baby; the wagging tail, and look of adoration from soulful brown eyes certainly melts my heart every time. Sometimes it is bigger events, like being on holiday, the launch of our book, or a sale made on etsy that puts a sparkle in my day. Other times it could be just the company of a good friend, sharing coffee and laughter. So many simple things bring joy to my world; a cup of coffee lovingly made by one of my boys, or a meal already prepared when I get home from work. A night of tv watching with the whole family enjoying a show; a good glass of wine or a chocolate treat ( salted caramel is my current go to), a chat with an elderly patient at work, a cuddle with my husband, all of these and so many many more, are my favourite things. I love my life and savour (Australian spelling of savor) every moment, for I know how things can change in the blink of an eye.
Now I am going to watch the mens Wimbledon final and hopefully see Roger Federer savour yet one more victory…
