People with moxie don’t let setbacks stop them in their tracks. They have fighting spirit, and when knocked down, will get right back up and keep on punching. They have strength of mind which enables them to face adversity with courage.
I like to think I have taught my kids to have moxie; I always told them there are two types of people; the wallowers, and the fighters. Wallowers choose to complain to all who are willing to listen, and bask in their misery. Fighters are determined to help themselves, and will do all they possibly can to change what is wrong. The people who succeed in this life accept that failures are a part of life. If you don’t fail, you don’t learn and if you don’t learn you will never change. Success is not the key to happiness; happiness is the key to success.
Being positive in a negative situation is not naive, it’s leadership. Successful people build each other up; they motivate, inspire and push each other. Unsuccessful people just hate, blame and complain.
We all get to choose which we will be; I’m a fighter with moxie – what are you?
