Cheers…

It’s holiday time for us and for me that means sunshine and cocktails! One of my all time favourite cocktails is the Illusion Shaker. ( Happily, now you can buy it premixed in bottles, a much easier option than using the recipe below)

Servings: 1
INGREDIENTS
• ¾ OZ. MIDORI
• ¼ OZ. TRIPLE SEC
• ¼ OZ. VODKA
• ½ OZ. LEMON JUICE
• ½ OZ. PINEAPPLE JUICE
• PINEAPPLE WEDGES
• GLASS TYPE: SHOT

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add everything (I don’t need to list them all out for you, do I?) to your shaker.
2. Add some ice.
3. Shake.
4. Pour into your shot glass (or glasses — double or triple recipe accordingly).
5. Garnish with pineapple wedges.
6. Bottoms up!

Drinking cocktails always reminds me of the time Tracey and I decided to have a night at home creating various cocktails from a recipe book, while my husband watched on with amusement at our antics. I don’t have a clear recollection ( not surprising really) of what they tasted like, but I do have vague  memories of ice flying around the kitchen and lots of hysterical laughter.

I may be jetting off for a weeks r and r but fear not – I don’t intend neglecting our blog.
Here’s cheers; and don’t work too hard this week!
