Tell it like it is…

“Putting on a new pair of glasses or sunglasses is a simple way to completely transform your look – just like a new hairstyle.”
Brad Goreski
One of my favourite duties in my job is help patients select new glasses. There are a myriad of frames from which to select, and people’s faces are all very different making it a sometimes lengthy process. What you like on the shelf may not suit your face at all, likewise others you may not consider will look fabulous on. Gone are the days when you had to look like a nerd or Fearless Fly when wearing glasses, now they are a fashion statement and come in all colours and shapes.

I am a paragon of honesty when giving my opinion, I hate nothing more than a sales assistant telling you how good you look when trying on clothes, when you know damn well they look awful. I want people to look good and be happy; glasses are an expensive fashion accessory that are worn every day. I may not improve the way you see, ( that’s the optometrist’s job) but I can certainly improve the way you look!
One of the benefits of my job is being able to own more than one pair of glasses – currently I have 6 – and 3 pairs of prescription sunglasses!

  1. I had an eye test yesterday which took an hour! He was very thorough, then with the help of his assistant I chose some frames which just happened to be Ted Baker frames which were the most expensive frames they carried šŸ¤“ I do hope they are worth the money. My long distance is no problem it’s the reading and painting he has prescribed bifocals. He said to give them a go and if I ant get on with them he will exchange them for two pairs šŸ˜Š

        1. šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜I’m not – Ted Baker are really good – I was just teasing you šŸ˜˜šŸ¦‰

          1. About Ā£476 are our most expensive! Crazy amount for a frame when you have to pay for lenses on top of that!
I’m sure they are nice – can you show pic? šŸ˜˜

  2. I like the quote at the bottom. I don’t think I have broken eyes and never even contemplated that as a possibility. Anytime someone makes me think, I like it.
