“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul.”
There is no better feeling than when you create something of which you are proud. Tracey and I have always had projects on the go, taking on different challenges and using various mediums from knitting needles to a pen. ( yes, I wrote our book draft and each of our mystery games with the use of the good old pen and paper!)
Mum’s the Word Book available on Amazon as an ebook or soft cover book
We have had quite some success and have really enjoyed everything we have done. It makes it so much more special when you accomplish your goals, particularly when it is with a lifelong friend. We are always looking for something new, whilst still continuing with our established businesses and our annual Christmas craft market. I love knitting in Winter and find it quite dangerous to go in a yarn store; it’s guaranteed I will leave with arms full of wool. Knitted arigumi animals are our speciality, with Tracey also sewing some fabulous animals ( the giraffe is my favourite!)
Sewing is not my forte, even though my Mum was a dressmaker – it’s not something which I enjoy. Writing is another passion of mine and is what led to the creation of our blog. I love that the prompt word gives you a platform from which to launch, and it doesn’t matter about what you write – there’s no right or wrong. I’m hoping that thinking, writing and creating will help keep old age at bay, ( although the kids call me Granny when I knit) and I’m hoping we are inspired by something new in the near future.
I think it’s time I penned another kid’s mystery game to sell on our etsy site www.kidsmysterygames.etsy.com and would love some suggestions on a theme. We have a range of games and need something different. I would really love to hear any suggestions from our fellow bloggers.
