The Killer Back Button…

I think the hardest part of writing a post is creating a blog title that will attract and capture the attention of potential readers. If you manage to nail the title, then you need your first sentences to grab your reader’s attention and entice them to want to read more. If you accomplish this then hopefully you will prevent them from hitting the dreaded back button!
I certainly know after reading the first couple of sentences of posts whether I want to read more, or whether I’m out of there. After reading research on how to write a better blog, I will now try and infuse my blog titles with emotion inspiring adjectives to pull you all in to my web!
I’d love to hear other bloggers writing tips to attract readers…

“Good writing is good conversation, only more so.”
Ernest Hemingway

“Blog feel small?
If you have just one trader and your blog changes their life, your blog is big enough.”
Darren Rowse

  1. Thank you for this tip. It’s a skill I’m still developing. Very often, I change my post titles as I write my way through each post. It can start off with one title and change a few times by the time I’ve reached the end of my writing. Not for any profound reason…..simply that I start writing with only a vague idea of the direction it’s going in. I love the infusion idea, I’m going to try that out 🙂
