Sometimes life will throw you curveballs and it’s up to you to grab a bat and start swinging. I love kids and from the day we were married looked forward to becoming a mum. Unfortunately falling pregnant wasn’t that easy, and so a ten year roller coaster journey began. At no point were my husband and I prepared to give up on our dream and we did everything possible to achieve our goal, not letting the heartbreak of miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies stop us continuing on our quest. Eventually we achieved what we were beginning to think impossible and our beautiful twin boys entered this world. I like to think everything happens for a reason, and believe I was a better mum after all the trials and tribulations we went through to have our family. I appreciated just how precious a gift they were, and even on the rare bad day when they were driving me crazy, would stop and think what my life would be like without them. ( Most times this worked, although I had distant fond memories of sleeping and showering in peace!)
I have taught my boys to always dream big, because things can seem impossible until they are done. All your dreams can come true if you have the courage and conviction to pursue them.
