Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made in your life. If you want a different result, make a different choice. Our lifestyle is the outcome of decisions we have made; we made our choices and then our choices made us.
In life you are either a passenger or a pilot, it’s up to you which you choose. There are those that sit back and complain of what they don’t have, bemoaning their friend’s and neighbor’s achievements, claiming life isn’t fair and doing nothing to change the way things are. Then there are those who look at how they can better things, focus on themselves instead of making comparisons to others, and then work at being the best that they can be.
I chose to be a stay at home mum, and whilst I appreciate there are those that need to work to make ends meet, there are many who claim they have to work but do so because they are not prepared to make sacrifices and compromise the lifestyle that they have. I would choose time with my kids over possessions any day, but that is my personal choice and one which my husband and I made. We chose private school education for our boys and don’t regret it for a moment; both are academic and excelled at school; if this were not the case perhaps our choice would have been different, but we weighed up the options and made our decision. We married at a young age,  (21) and were told by many we were far too young, that it wouldn’t last. 33 years later, here we are, happy and content; still making decisions and most importantly, making them together.
Life is a journey and only you hold the key; sometimes you need to just accept that it is what it is, but more often than not your decisions will determine your destiny…

“I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday.”
Eleanor Roosevelt
