Friendship Yarn…

My friendship with Tracey is like a ball of coloured yarn, infused with different hues and textures and used to create many different projects.
We use words to craft tales from our kids’ childhoods in our book Mum’s the Word, and again for our scripted mystery games which we sell for kids parties or to use in the school classroom.
We use wool and thread to create the various arigumi animals we sell on Etsy.
Our friendship has nearly 50 years of threads all entwined and rolled into one massive ball of love and laughter. I look forward to adding many more layers in the coming years.
Our friendship has definitely stood the test of time and is one that will never be broken. I hope that everyone is lucky enough to have found a friend as special as mine.
The following was the message inside a birthday card that Tracey gave me over 30 years ago and truer words have never been spoken!

“Friends may come, and friends may go.
And friends may peter out you know.
But we’ll be friends through thick and thin;
Peter out, or Peter in!”

  1. That picture is precious and your sentiments toward your friend admirable. Everyone needs a friend like you have.

  2. What a wonderful friendship you have. My best friend and I have been best friends for 35 years and I can’t imagine my life without her. When I was young, I thought everyone had an ‘April’ in their life, an awesome bestie just like I did. I learned that not everyone was as fortunate as I was to have such a wonderful friend. It makes me appreciate her even more these 35 years later. How great that you two are 50 years strong and even being in business together. Fantastic!
