“Scents of childhood”

Isn’t it incredible how different scents can revive many memories; often those well buried in the depths of our minds…for example if I ever smell lavender I am instantly transported back to my Nana’s house and can almost feel her warm hugs and instantly I recall the many fun sleepovers I had; or the smell of shortbread – it sends me into rapturous reminiscing of afternoons in the kitchen; me stealing bits of shortbread dough when I thought she wasn’t looking ( I realise now, many years later, that she knew all along and was just turning a blind eye!) No shortbread I’ve tasted since has ever come close to Nana’s – perhaps because hers had the added ingredient of “Nana love” ❤❤

Would love to hear other’s associations scents!
